Voidant

A collection of space like pieces. One depicting a black hole or a void like structure. I used various digital fabrication tools to create a psychedelic liquified effect. All colors and structures look as if they are being pulled to the center. Stars decorate the background along with a concrete brick design. As if the colors is attempting to seep out or away from the void dragging such in.

One features a void while the other features an attempt to give light to that void. English is funny because you can mess with verbal building blocks and change meaning.

The name of the piece "Voidant" was created from the word "Avoidant". To bring meaning to the word I tread the "A" in "avoidant" as the prefix "a" meaning without, lacking, or not. I was able to create 3 meanings from the word.
