My name is Devin. I’m a creative who specializes in drawing, graphic design, illustration, video editing and music creation.

 

I continue to hone my skills in Adobe Creative Suite, as well a other 3rd party editing software.  I graduated with a Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Design Studies in May of 2025.

I make art to connect, influence, and sustain both self and soul. My art is my channel for storytelling. I use my skills to tell other people’s stories of all different shapes and sizes.

 

D. Soul Experience is my pen name. It's a play on words

(The Sole Experience) meant to reflect my life and work. I capture human experience as relatable and as unique as it can be. 

 

​I’m inspired by my own story, my father, and a wide spectrum of creatives.  Eiichiro Oda, Hajime Isayama, and Akira Toriyama are some of my influences for storytelling as manga, anime, and comics sparked my interest in art. Afrofuturism fuels my vision, shaped by artists like Solange Knowles, Donald Glover, Tyler Okonma, Christopher Breaux, Thebe Kgositsile, and Kendrick Lamar. Their work embodies the dreamlike aesthetic of Black culture. I aim to bring such a fantasy to life. 

 

I draw inspiration from personal experiences, shared struggles, and the untold stories of those around me. Armed with everything to tell your story.
