Gitmo

The following is a collection of album covers made for Gitmo Music. Gitmo is a small record label.

The client had a software error with his laptop and got hundreds of songs shuffled from their folders. In his misfortune he decided to turn the random songs into a Lost & Found series. I was told to follow similar themes of the "NOW" music album covers.

There series a collection of abstract designs. I was given a foundation and told to build on to it. I was told I didn't need to listen to the music but I gave a few tracks off of each to get some kind of feel. There was much creative freedom. This series allowed me to test some of my design skills as well as improve my illustrative skill. The ideas began as random and slowly shifted to a theme of "Getting more". I realized hands, bands, or any type of financial pursuing activities could relate to the theme of Gitmo's potential branding.

The series is incomplete as I am still commissioned to make more.
